Exercise and Cleansing - Are They Compatible?
Exercise and cleansing can work together or against each other. You can enhance your colon cleansing program by choosing the right exercises that will complement your body’s ability to remove toxins. As with anything, exercise and cleansing work best when in moderation. And heavy exercise can be counter productive to your colon cleansing program. This is because the body only has a certain amount of energy. A hard workout requires a lot of this energy to recover and create more toxins further burdening your body. The following exercises are light and help the blood and/or lymphatic system move fluids. You will notice that a couple of these are frequently used before or after a regular workout as a warm-up or cool-down.
The Absolute Best Exercise
is Rebounding and is the best example of how exercise and cleansing can work together. Rebounding is simply jumping on a special trampoline. It can be a “bounce” in which your heels don’t leave the surface or you can jump higher and do kicks if you have an exercise bar. This is how it helps; as you cleanse, your body takes the majority of toxins to the lymphatic system for removal. The entire lymphatic system may be stimulated in just 2 minutes of jumping. This assists your body to help clear toxins. In fact, studies have shown that jumping stimulates your body to manufacture more white blood cells. Also, NASA has found this exercise to strengthen cells and bones of astronauts who have been weakened from exposure to zero gravity. But heed this warning - do not use just any trampoline. You can jar your knees or your back. I hurt my knees using a cheap trampoline. Then I tried one that was designed for exercise and there was no jarring and no pain. It felt like I was jumping on a marshmallow. Within 2 weeks of 5-10 minutes each day, my stomach (and insides) felt so strong it felt like I was wearing a girdle! This is how powerful this simple exercise can be. And keep in mind, you do not have to jump as high as you can. Jumping while keeping your heels in touch with the unit still stimulates the lymphatic system with zero impact better than any other exercise out there. If you are at all interested, check out the

Walking
also helps pump the lymphatic system. Brisk walking while taking full strides and pumping the calf muscles is the best type of walking (as opposed to strolling). If you live in a high pollution area, or have small children, a treadmill might be your best helper. Cycling moves the blood and the lymphatic system. It is not as powerful as the above as the calves are not pumping. But it is still helpful for those with injuries, joint problems or for those who prefer to use variety in their workouts. Using a
Chi Machine
is considered passive exercise. I stumbled across this after I had an injury and even stretching was painful. I started slowly, of course, but after five minutes of use I could then stretch out. I believe this was due to the fact that after my surgery there were so many toxins in my body that everything was painful. By using a chi machine , I helped improve my circulation, which started my healing process. I still use it as passive exercise today - when I don’t really feel like exercising.
Saunas
can help your body's cleansing process. I know, it’s not really “exercise.” But I included it here because some doctors and scientists consider it as a type of passive cardiovascular exercise. In fact NASA has determined it could be an excellent way for astronauts to keep their cardio systems in shape during long-term space flight. It’s also very relaxing. For this you can go to your local gym or check out the dome saunas which are portable and more affordable than you might think.
