Natural Arthritis Healing

If you research natural arthritis healing regimens, you will see that most of them recommend eating certain foods and eliminating certain types of foods so as not to aggravate the symptoms. This is a way of total body cleansing and colon cleansing.

There are 2 steps that are common for the relief of arthritis pain. First, eliminate the symptoms (or pain) and second is to eliminate the cause.

No one is sure of the cause, although inflammation seems to be a common factor. Some philosophies believe microscopic parasites are responsible as some victims report blood tests confirming this. Other philosophies believe that toxins lodged in the joints are a cause, while scientific research proves some environmental toxins can cause internal inflammation.

Regardless, body cleansing through diet may help in the elimination of symptoms and the cause at the same time. A colon cleanse can start the process of alleviating toxins that can cause inflammation, thus starting your natural arthritis healing program.

Generally the diet will consist of :
Fresh Fruits, Fresh Vegetables and Salads, whole grains, especially basmati and brown rice, honey

Eliminate or restrict all:
Meats, fish eggs, refined salt, peas, beans, lentils, asparagus, mushrooms, flour and flour products, sugar and products, caffeinated drinks, and chocolate

Eliminate all “nightshades”:
Potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers

Supplements that are commonly used for arthritis relief are:
Cleansing fiber with herbs to help it move through your system (like triphala or cascara sagrada), Essential Fatty Acids (lubricate joints, helps cleanse), glucosamine and chondroitin (promote joint health and repair), MSM (kills parasites and alleviates inflammation), Manganese (slows aging process), Tumeric and Ginger extract (anti-inflammatory).

Fresh vegetable juices include:
Carrots with parsley, celery, kale, spinach, cucumber, garlic and ginger. You don’t have to drink them all in the same juice. These are suggestions of veggies to use. Make your own combination of flavors that you prefer and what’s available.

It is believed a flawed immune system may be at least partly responsible at least for arthritis. Cleansing your body should be part of a natural arthritis healing program. Cleansing will help eliminate toxins, which in turn takes the burden off the immune system. If toxins are a cause, cleansing will aid in the elimination of these. If an over-active immune system is part of the cause, eliminating some of the burden of the immune system will give it room to work more appropriately. If you take supplements to assist in your healing, cleansing will allow your body to assimilate these more effectively.
