Natural Cleansing Diet

By eating certain foods, you can create a natural cleansing diet. Cleansing your body has many benefits including better health, more energy, possible weight loss, better sleep at night, happier moods, and a clearer mind, which is a less stressed mind.

Eating junk and processed foods, and too much food inhibits digestion. Digestion affects metabolism – if your digestion is poor, so is your metabolism. This creates an environment in which waste can build up adding extra fat and other unwanted weight.

By eating a naturally cleansing diet, you keep your body’s processes strong and create an environment that will digest food, assimilate nutrients and efficiently eliminate waste.

How To do a Natural Cleansing Diet

Basic rules and simple guidelines can make for long term success.  Most important for many people is the abstinence of junk foods, desserts, sodas, alcohol and highly processed foods.  These sabotage any health plan while triggering cravings at the same time.

DAILY PLAN

Start your morning with a slightly warm glass of water with fresh lemon or lime squeezed into it. If you can create the time, sit for about 5 minutes. This fresh lemon juice helps to stimulate your lymphatic system because it is anti-septic, can stimulate the liver, and dissolve uric acid. Also, when added to warm water, it can stimulate the bowels.

Include fresh, organic fruit into your daily diet. Fruit is a natural detoxifier. Many fruits are high in vitamin C, one of the most powerful antioxidants.

Protein helps to strengthen your liver for detoxification and fat burning. Choose healthy proteins that are lean and organic when possible. Eat the right amounts and try vegetarian for variety and better health.

Keep your diet naturally cleansing by having fresh, green salad with a light, non-dairy dressing. Eating salad every day helps your body make more enzymes every day, resulting in stronger digestion. By keeping your digestion strong, your body will naturally cleanse waste as it continues to break old buildup after food is digested.

Keep your energy up with a cleansing snacks, such as yogurt with no sugar. Be sure to check the label for the good bacteria – it may be labeled as live active cultures. These good bacteria strengthen digestion and strengthen the immune system.

Personally, I believe any serious cleansing program should incorporate cleansing supplements that help soften built up waste as well as nourish the intestinal and digestive tract.  High quality herbs are concentrated nutrition, and according to the golden rule of health; it takes 10 times the amount of nutrition to heal than it does to live on a day-to-day basis.  There are many great products on the market, but my favorite for the last 24 years has been and will remain Herbal Fiberblend in powder form, by the AIM corporation (see below).

Keep your natural cleansing diet light. By eating light your body will be able to digest all the food easily. This leaves room for your natural cleansing processes to keep working through the evening while not leaving undigested food from overeating.
