Sauna Detox and Colon Cleansing

A sauna detox will greatly enhance your colon cleanse while helping you relax at the same time.

It has long been part of spa treatments for a day of detoxing. But using a sauna detox is just now becoming a known cleansing program in its own right.

Many are doing whole cleansing programs using a series of either infrared saunas or steams. These may be done in a series of 3 or more with advocates sitting in them for up to 45 minutes at a time.

Researchers are finding the benefits of a dry infrared sauna to be beneficial not only for detoxing but for cardiovascular conditioning as well. The heat raises metabolism and increases circulation. This can lead to weight loss and help alleviate a number of ailments.

Sitting is a regular dry heat sauna can be taxing on your body. In a regular sauna, hot rocks heat the air which then heats your body. With a far infrared sauna uses infrared waves to heat your body. Therefore the temperature is much lower and the process is not only more comfortable, but safer.

Using this type of sauna detox will raise your body temperature, causing your blood to flow faster while gently raising your heart rate. As you do more sessions, you will see that you start to sweat more. This sweat contains heavy metals, chemicals, pesticides and fat.

A steam detox is also beneficial, though maybe not as comfortable. The benefits are similar. It is noted by advocates that using the steam greatly increases your immune system activity and weight loss due to the increased temperature.

Using the steam detox with ozone is becoming more popular and said to increase the benefits even more. Ozone is very popular to use with detox programs in Europe.

Using a sauna or steam once in a while is not the same as using them for a detox. While you are cleansing, you add these sessions in a series of 3 to even 10 during the time you are using a colon cleansing program. To get the full benefits, it is important to take the supplements to help move toxins out and ensure all the organs of elimination are working fully.

When done alone without a cleanse, one session of a sauna or steam will give you only temporary benefits and not allow your body to cleanse as deep. These single sessions are best used for relaxing or helping sore muscles.

If you decide to use a series of sauna or steam session, be careful. It is work for your heart to sit in high temperatures. Make sure to start slow with perhaps 5-10 minutes per day at first. It is imperative to drink plenty of water and fluids during this time.

In addition, as with most other cleansing modalities, use a sauna detox or steam sessions with your colon cleanse program. This will give you the most benefits.
