Heal Yeast Infection and Candida - Naturally

Many people suffer from yeast infections. They can be painful and uncomfortable and for many, drugs just don't seem to work. But there are steps you can take to ease symptoms and possibly even help your body heal itself.

A yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of candida albicans, a fungus. Candida is a yeast that resides in a healthy digestive tract. However, as with anything, a problem arises when our systems become out of balance due to various factors such as; stress, environmental toxins, especially prescription drugs, alcohol, and processed foods. You may experience symptoms anywhere on or in your body.

When the balance is interrupted, the candida becomes out of control, breeds higher up in the digestive tract and the yeast now becomes a fungus. This shows up in various areas of the body as a yeast infection. The fungus grows "roots" or rhizoids into the small intestine where it resides causing a number of problems including:

  • vaginitis, discharge, itch, infertility, frequent urination, edema, impotency, prostate problems
  • bloating, gas, diarrhea, heartburn, dry mouth, constipation
  • muscle aches, nasal congestion, chest pains, tinnitis, chemical sensitivity
  • white fungal skin patches, acne, athlete's foot, psoriasis, impetigo, dermatitis

The symptoms can be numerous and often misdiagnosed. Unfortunately, it is probably undiagnosed in the majority of people who are left treating the symptoms... over - and over - and over again.

Following a candida food protocol can be life-consuming and difficult to follow. Taking medications for yeast infection or candida can be ineffective as symptoms commonly reoccur. It has always been my philosophy that if you must follow a diet perfectly to stave off symptoms, you are not healed you are merely keeping the problem at bay.

By cleansing, you can rid your body of yeast infection and candida once and for all. As with anything, the body is made to heal itself. A colon cleanse helps remove waste and toxins that constantly feed back into the body. But there is a trick;

The cleanse must last long enough to ensure your body has time to heal. In other words, if you've had various forms of yeast infection or candida for a few years, you will need more than a couple of weeks to help your body balance and heal.

In addition, it is almost imperative that if you have a chronic condition, you will need to do a parasite cleanse . We are constantly in contact with bacteria and virus that our bodies must fight - so why would common parasites be any different? We are animals and all animals are susceptible.

A Colon Cleanse for Yeast Infection?

Using a colon cleanse helps your body rid excess waste that accumulates in the small intestine - not only buildup of plaque, but buildup of the fungus from candida overgrowth as well. Your body is extremely smart so as you start the cleansing process, your body will eliminate what is hurting it. This is the natural survival instinct in all of us.

As you cleanse, you must follow a cleansing diet along with taking probiotics or good bacteria. The good bacteria is extremely important and naturally helps your body kill of bad guys and keep them at bay while you cleanse.

In the case of candida, there are other supplements to add that will enhance your cleanse and your body's healing capabilities. Some are as follows:

  • Citricidal is a supplement of Grapefruit seed extract which is an antifungal. Nutribiotic has an organic, liquid form.
  • Pau D'arco is one of the most common antifungals that also stimulates the immune system.
  • Garlic is the most potent and best known antimicrobial agents. It is proven to be effective against 26 strains of candida albicans and 200 varieties of pathogenic fungi. It stimulates interferon production, a major fighter for the immune system.
  • Oregano extract is considered by many to be more potent than nystatin to fight candida. It also kills staph infection and is less toxic than medications.
  • The combination of goldenseal and echinacea are strong stimulators of the immune system, promoting white blood cells production, antibiotic activity and is effective in digestive problems.
