#25 - Yogurt Curry Chicken Recipe

Love Indian inspired dishes but don't have the time?  Check out this delicious spin on yogurt curry chicken for your next healthy family meal.

This is a quick, easy and healthy recipe that you can throw together often with ingredients already in your kitchen.  It's also easy to teach the kids as you pass on your culinary skills.

  • 4 pieces of boneless, skinless Chicken, cut into 2-3 inch pieces (this can be cubes or strips, whatever you prefer)
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 Cups of yogurt
  • 1 Can organic crushed, organic tomatoes
  • Curry powder
  • Coriander
  • Tumeric
  • Sea salt and pepper

Combine yogurt with spices to your taste. Add the cut up chicken to this and marinate. You can marinate 30 minutes or overnight. Apparently the longer you marinate, the tastier your chicken will be.

When you are ready to cook the chicken:

  • first sauté the onion in water or ghee
  • Add the chicken with sauce
  • Add the can of tomatoes
  • Cook until chicken is thoroughly cooked, this will depend upon how big or small you cut your chicken.

Serve with fresh or frozen mixture of vegetables including cauliflower, lima beans, carrots, broccoli, and onion. Have it alone if you are at that stage of cleansing or serve with basmati rice if you are not cleansing.
