Healthy Portions for Healthy Eating

Healthy portions are an integral part of healthy eating. One of the biggest killers of a health program is overeating. The body can only digest a certain amount of food at one time. But do we have to pull out the measuring cups every time we eat? No - just follow some simple guidelines like these and you can easily remember what healthy portions are;

  • Keep your plate at least half filled with veggies.
  • A protein serving is no larger than the size of your palm
  • Grains/starches should only be 1 cup.
  • Stick to 8 ounces of liquid during meals for optimal digestion.

By eating this way, you will more easily lose weight and cleanse.
