Fresh Vegetable Juice Recipes

Fresh vegetable juices are excellent for cleansing, especially at the beginning stages. They will give you nourishment you need so your body is strong enough to cleanse. Remember, cleansing will free your body to heal many problems, before you realize there is a problem. It takes 10 times the amount of nutrition to heal than it does to live on a day to day basis. The absolute best way to get this nutrition is from whole foods and fresh pressed juices.

Canned or bottled juices never work as well as fresh. If you don’t own a juicer, it would be wise to consider investing in one. I get great results with my Champion Juicer I’ve had for almost 16 years. I’ve tried others but I get more juice from the vegetables in my Champion.

Fresh vegetable juices contain nutrients, live enzymes and minerals that are only potent for about 30 minutes after the juice is made. If you cannot make your juice, find a health food store near you that makes one. Drink it at least 3-4 times per week to get good results. Try to get organic if you can.

As for drinking vegetable juice that contains natural sugars like carrots or beets, don’t worry. It is not processed white sugar and your body will not react the same. I once had a client who could not heal from Candida until she came to me. She was too thin and weak and thought she would never get better as she tried everything. I told her that she was not strong enough to cleanse and she needed to add these juices to her program. She resisted because she was told the sugar was bad for her. After drinking the juices, cleansing and using colon hydrotherapy, she finally healed.

There is more than one recipe and a variety of vegetables to use. It is best to drink a variety. If you drink or eat the same thing every day, even if it’s healthy, you risk developing a sensitivity to the food – even carrots or broccoli. Therefore, it's best to use your favorite, even every day for a few weeks, then change your juice. This way you can cleanse, heal and not create a "sensitivity" or food allergy. As the saying goes, all things in moderation.

The main vegetables you will use for cleansing juices are carrots, beets, celery, garlic and ginger root. Each has different qualities that will assist in your cleansing program, for example:

Carrots: Skin, hair, eyes, liver
Beets: Liver, kidneys, intestines
Celery: Clear lymphatic system, regulate heartbeat
Cabbage Juice: Detox stomach, upper bowels
Garlic: Kills bacteria
Ginger Root: Kills bacteria, soothes stomach & aids nausea
